Ken Reinstadler is a career law enforcement officer, having spent most of his 32 years in the business as a criminal investigator in the Central Coast of California. Although fictional, his writings are based on his personal experiences in solving some of his most challenging and interesting cases during his career as a detective, sergeant and lieutenant. Many of his characters and situations are based on real life crimes. He is an avid scuba diver and instructor, and enjoys time off riding his Harley Davidson. The author is retired and lives with his wife, Jill, in Northern Arizona. Ken is a member of the Arizona Author’s Association and Arizona Mystery Writers.

I am very anxious to read the published book. I read the draft and couldn’t put it down! The book is well written, grabs your interestimmediately and keeps you guessing. Not only was this a great book to read but I learned a lot about the life of a homicide detective. Read this book, you will not be disappointed!
This is a gritty, hardboiled murder mystery from a cop’s point of view! The tale is riveting! I can’t wait for the second installment.
I would strongly suggest giving this book a read! Mr.Ken Reinstadler does an amazing job of weaving suspense & adventure! Can’t wait for more!

Easy & entertaining read. I enjoyed it.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel. It had moments that made me laugh out loud, and others that brought tears to my eyes. I enjoyed knowing more about how the criminal justice system works as well. A good read.
This book grabs you at the first page and does not let go until the party at the end. A quick and nail biting read with realistic insight into the workings of a cops environment and mind set.
My wife and I have both finished reading your book and we really enjoyed it. Lots of familiar places and procedures and it really felt “local”. We liked the way you sprinkled all the different crimes throughout the book, then pulled them altogether at the end and everybody got what they deserved. Doesn’t always work that way but it’s nice when a plan comes together.

A police procedural that holds your interest by an author who has obviously been there. I read it in an afternoon because I couldn’t put it down. A very good first outing by the author who understands the political ins and outs of “Sheriff’n”.

I seldom read a book due to lose of interest or have to go back and reread a sentence or entire paragraph as they put me to sleep. No so with Slice of Greed. When I was finished with a section, chapter or page, I could not wait to get back to what was coming next. Being a former law enforcement officer from Nevada and retired from law enforcement in California, I can identify with many aspects in Kevin’s first novel. I cannot wait for the next and hopefully many more novels to come.

Very enjoyable book. Lots of different crimes by different people at different times sprinkled throughout the book all to ultimately advance the primary storyline. Then the author pulled them altogether at the end and everybody got what they deserved. Written from the law enforcement detective’s point of view with plenty of “cop” humor and “politics” thrown in, it’s a good read.
From the opening paragraph to the last sentence the premier work of K.C Reinstadler has realism, suspense, and real-life characters with authentic cop humor and personalities. Great plot twists that keep the book in your hands since you do not want to put it down. The book is an easy read and flows at a fast pace. I am a career cop and this book a testament to first time author K.C. Reinstadler, who has obviously been there and done that in real life. Can’t wait for his next one.
Quick read because I couldn’t put it down! Th characters were well “fleshed out.” The book was written from the prospective of a cop who’s been there, done that. Good first book from K. C. Reinstadler – he’s definitely got a future with Detective Rhinehardt stories. I’m definitely looking forward to number 2!
Giving this book a 5-star rating was a no-brainer. I couldn’t put the book down once i started to read it. This tale of crime was spun the way only a seasoned investigator could do. What a great crime story to boot. The police humor, the office politics and the investigative “tricks of the trade” just add to the realism of the process!! Great job Rhino!!. Looking forward to your next book buddy.
